Lewis Hamilton Takes Victory in Turkey
3 Apr 2010 | admin
Lewis Hamilton led a Vodafone Mclaren Mercedes one, two in Turkey after a fantastic race of overtaking and race incidents. After leading the race for 40 laps Mark Webbers race went into a spin after Vettel trying to overtake on the inside. Vettel positioned his car on the inside giving him the left hander when the cars collided, putting both Redbull cars into a spin upon the apex. The two Mclarens passed the Redbulls at this point with Lewis leading the race ahead of Jenson Button but this was not the end of the excitment.
Just a few lap’s later we saw the Mclaren’s fighting for first place with Jenson Button making a move on Lewis Hamilton! The current world champion passed Hamilton and within a few more corners Hamilton managed to push Button wide and sneek past. This is the first one two for the Mclaren’s this season which leaves the past and present world champions in 2nd and 3rd in the championship (Jenson 2nd, Hamilton 3rd).
With Canada coming up it leaves the Mclaren boy’s in a great position for the Canadian GP with the new side pod upgrades ready to take effect for the straightline and high speed corners, will we see a Mclaren on top by Sunday evening? Make sure you catch the GP this Sunday 13th June 2010 at 12:00pm GMT.
